Commit to Inclusion will be represented!

APHA_2014_Annual_Meeting

The American Public Health Association’s Annual Meeting & Exposition serves as the home for public health professionals to convene, learn, network and engage with peers. The Annual Meeting helps to strengthen the profession of public health, share the latest research and information, promote best practices and advocate for public health issues and policies grounded in research.  The meeting is held from November 15-19, 2014 in New Orleans.  For more information about the meeting go to https://www.apha.org/events-and-meetings/annual.

There will be several opportunities to learn more about Commit to Inclusion at the meeting:

  • Two of the Founding Partners, the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports, & Nutrition (PCFSN) and the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) will be participating in the Public Health Expo.  Visit the PCFSN at booth 1807 and NCHPAD at booth 1711.  Representatives will be available to answer questions about Commit to Inclusion and help organizations make the commitment!
  • The PCFSN will have a session in the Exhibitor Theatre.  In this highly interactive setting, attendees can gain an exclusive sneak peek at new products and services.  Join them on Tuesday, 11/18 from 10-10:45 am to learn about Healthy, Active Lifestyles for All Americans! Initiatives and Programs of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition.  Follow the link for more information about the Exhibitor Theatre.
  • The APHA Disability Section will host a business meeting and reception on Monday, November 17, 2014 from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM.  Attendees will here about Commit to Inclusion from another Founding Partner, the American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD), during this time.
