Kids Included Together

About

The Kids Included Together (KIT) vision is a world where inclusion is the norm, and not the exception. To that end, KIT teaches inclusive practices to people and organizations that serve kids. Through best-in-class in-person training and online learning, KIT ensures that professionals and programs are prepared to meet the needs of all kids. KIT’s current clients include the US Department of Defense Child and Youth Programs, US Department of Education 21st Century Community Learning Centers, plus YMCA’s, Girl Scouts, 4-H Councils, and other child and youth organizations around the United States. KIT is an Authorized Provider of the International Association for Continuing Education & Training (IACET) and has special consultant status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

Commitment

As a nonprofit, KIT accomplishes its work through high-quality training and technical assistance provided by professionals who have direct experience in early childhood, community programming, and out-of-school time fields. Training provided by KIT is deeply rooted in the experience of the child care and out-of-school time provider; KIT’s training and tools, developed over its 17 year history, are designed to create positive change in the program environment through an increased knowledge of accommodations and supports, the building of relationships with program stakeholders, and an understanding of how policies and procedures affect inclusion.
