The City of Hoover has a population of approximately 85,000 people. It is the largest suburb near Birmingham. Hoover sits in both Jefferson and Shelby Counties. There are over 37 parks and facilities in the 48 square mile area.
Commitment
Hoover Parks and Recreation Department is one of the only Parks and Recreation Departments in Alabama with Certified Recreational Therapists. The current administration is excited about using the knowledge, programs and insight to create the most inclusive community in the state.
